I was thinking about money recently. I have come to the conclusion that money is the only asset that doesn’t want to be held on to. Money wishes to be freed. Have you ever noticed when you have a little extra money after paying bills? You think this is a good thing. Then an unexpected expense arises. Something breaks in the house or a car repair is needed. The sigh of relief you once had from having a little extra money left over goes out the window. Now you are back to square one trying to figure out how to get through another financial situation until payday. I was in a situation not too long ago where I thought I would have some money left over. Then I was hit with a fuel pump issue with my car. I was completely thrown off guard. It’s like money knows you are going to have extra money. Then it throws an unplanned financial crisis your way. It seems rare to not have some unexpected situation pop up that doesn’t cost. I hope that one day money will stay in my pocket. It will also stay in my bank account just a little longer next time.
